The commercial was created by the good people at GiantAntMedia.com. The graphics were done by Faction Creative.
This 30 second spot promotes Clearly Contacts as a source for low cost eye glasses.

With the launch of the advertising campaign on television you can now see Trevor Linden photos from the shoot on the front page of clearlycontacts.ca.

We treated this product endorsement shoot as if it was Trevor Linden’s first time on a film set. The lights were backed off and soft to be less obtrusive. We  keyed with a 10k fresnel through a 12×12 diffusion frame. We goalposted a 5k fresnel chimera for his eye light above the camera. The only hard light was a 2k fresnel jawline kicker from low off Trevor’s right side. It was carefully kept away from the direction he gestured to the computer graphics.

Promo Spots with Pin Point Productions

Here are two corporate video we did with Director Cliff Prowse from Pin Point productions over a year ago:

This first is a childrens promo spot funded by the BC Chicken Marketing Board which us on a week long tour of the British Columbia chicken industry. We wore bio suits and hosed down our lighting equipment in chemicals to pass bio security checkpoints in order  bring cameras and lights into places nobody but chickens go. The spot was narrated by Adam Groves who coincidently plays Amir in Under the Apple Box the feature we recently completed earlier this year.

In the second we did the camera mounts for Dinosaurs Unearthed a promotional video showcasing the traveling animatronic dinosaur event which was installed at Metropolis at Metrotown.

Metropolis at Metrotown’s Dinosaurs Unearthed

TALCO works with Clif Prowse to capture the arrival and installation of the Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit. We installed camera mounts for a week long time lapse documenting the event. One camera was rigged from the top of the Grant Court catwalk. The other was rigged 20′ in the air from a giant support column in the Atrium Court. We used Modern Studio mounts, an L-bracket cheeseplate, ratchet straps, and some ingenuity. Photos attached. The exhibit remains standing at Metropolis at Metrotown.
